After four years at his alma mater, W.T. White football coach and athletic coordinator Eric Ezar is moving to Willis. Ezar has accepted the athletic director position at Willis, a Class 4A school north of Houston.
?I?m pretty excited about the growth down there,? said Ezar, who graduated from W.T. White in 1990. ?It?s like Frisco was 10 years ago.?
Ezar will serve as the school district?s athletic director, but will not be the football coach.
Ezar took over at W.T. White after four seasons as North Crowley?s offensive coordinator. Prior to that, he had coaching stops at Fort Worth Brewer, Waxahachie and Hurst L.D. Bell.
?It?s bittersweet,? Said Ezar, who announced his plans to his W.T. White players today. ?I?m sad to leave my alma mater, and I hate to leave these kids and these relationships.
?But I have to do what?s best for my family.?
