?
I tend to spend a lot of time talking to people about marketing with a brand and logo, or a website, or a presence on a WordPress blog or social media.? That makes sense, since I make my living assisting real estate agents and brokers with web-centric marketing.
But, that doesn?t mean that I don?t also address issues like print marketing, sales skills and a variety of other topics that are part of marketing in general.? And, you can learn more about the services we provide at our real estate marketing website.
In case you hadn?t noticed, the two paragraphs above were a bit of self-promotion.? I should make more of a point of doing self promotion here on the blog.? I don?t do it often enough, but it is a necessary part of marketing a business.
My target market is the United States and Canada.? I never meet my clients.? I don?t sell locally, so I don?t really care if folks in the community know what I do.
That?s not the case for real estate professionals.? You live and work in plain view of your prospects.? It?s important that everyone knows what you do.
I recently read an excellent Active Rain post by Amy Hahn about self promotion.? Like many people, Amy isn?t likely to do anything that would make her feel like she was pushing herself on others.? So, she?s come up with an approach to doing self promotion that is effective and consistent with her personal philosophy.
Take a minute to read the post.? There are a lot of good tips there!
